i came across this amazing photo on pinterest and just had to click over to see where it came from. and oh, boy am i glad that i did! zoe murphy says to "love what belongs to you" and re-uses vintage furniture and textiles to create amazing bespoke pieces. aren't they incredible? i love the mid-century style mixed with bright colors and her great illustrations. and the fact that she is re-using and recycling everything is tops. i will definitely be adding one of her pieces to my wish list!

the lake

it has been so HOT here in the northeast the past few days. like, crazy hot. it is supposed to be 100° in the city today. it is just completely GROSS out. i wish i could teleport myself back to the lake i grew up on. sure, it would be nice to see my family and friends and eat at my favorite places, but really, i just want to slip in to that cool water and relax.
